That would give you the flexibility to control/modify/re-target based on actual content in your project. In Unity create a script/tool that will read that file and use it to build your scene from all the data contained in it. Create a scene definition schema that all the details can be stored in.
If it were my goal to do what you want to do I would approach it this way:īuild your editor in whatever tool/platform you want. In theory, it could be done, but there are better ways to do it. Also, the scenes rely on project settings and content in the project. You would need exact details of the construction of the scene file. If you mean by exporting it as a unity package from Unity, that should work just fine.īut if you mean that your editor will be a completely different application (not Unity), that would be pretty difficult to pull off.
